| Reverse description | A large cross pattee in the field, with a crossed sword and royal sceptre overlaid diagonally at its centre, and a royal orb at their intersection. Crowns appear on the lower and side arms of the cross, symbolising the arms of Sweden, while the upper arm bears the royal orb. Three rampant lions are placed in the exterior angles of the triangle, symbolising the arms of Denmark; the uppermost lion is depicted holding a curved halberd, alluding to the arms of Norway.
