Reverse description Bare-headed bust of the King facing right, set within an ornate crowned cartouche in high relief, with the legend encircling the portrait within the cartouche frame. Fourteen oval shields bearing the arms of Danish possessions are arranged around the cartouche, interspersed with elaborate strapwork and decorative elements. An elephant pendant, referencing the Order of the Elephant, hangs below the cartouche.
