Reverse description A detailed depiction of a sailing vessel passing bow-first through the lock gates of the Södertälje Canal, flanked by canal infrastructure including lock gates, bollards, and buildings of the town on both sides. The upper legend arcs along the border of the field, while a three-line inscription in the exergue records the name of the canal and the date of its first navigation.
