Obverse description Frontal bust of Charles I of Hungary wearing a royal crown, rendered in medieval seal style within a beaded inner circle against a blue enameled field. The legend KAROLUS arcs around the inner circle, with the regnal dates †1308†1342 in the lower portion; the outer border is decorated with alternating fleurs-de-lis, crowns, and heraldic motifs, surmounted by a gilt fleur-de-lis medallion at the top.
