Obverse description Central field features the heraldic coat of arms of Tours, depicting a quartered shield with fleurs-de-lis in the upper half and towers in the lower half, surmounted by a mural crown. The shield is flanked by decorative cartouche supporters, with a laurel branch to the left and an oak branch to the right, and a blank ribbon scroll above. The engraver's signature A. DESAIDE appears in the lower exergue. The design is bordered by a raised beaded rim.
