Reverse description The reverse features a twelve-pointed sunburst star in high relief at the centre, bearing a swastika symbol within a circular medallion — used here as the historic Carlsberg good-luck emblem. Flanking the star are two ears of barley, with decorative hop tendrils below, and the legend STIFTET 1847 inscribed in two lines at the top of the field.
