Reverse description The heraldic shield of Cardinal Granvelle, bearing a double-headed eagle over diagonal barry, is displayed in high relief at centre, surmounted by an ecclesiastical hat with elaborate knotted cords and pendant tassels. A palm frond and an olive branch flank the shield below, and the motto DVRATE is inscribed in the upper field within the beaded border.
