Obverse description Above, the coat of arms of the town of Sintra. In the centre we see Cabo da Roca, the westernmost point of mainland Portugal and continental Europe. We can also see the Cabo da Roca lighthouse, built in 1772 and currently the 2nd oldest on the Portuguese coast.
