Reverse description The City of Birmingham civic arms in relief at centre, featuring a shield with supporters and surmounted by a large decorative plume or spray of foliage. Surrounding the arms, the legend reads 'CITY OF BIRMINGHAM' along the upper rim with 'FIRE BRIGADE HEADQUARTERS' along the lower rim. Across the field below the arms, an inscription records the opening of the headquarters by H.R.H. The Duke of Kent, K.G., on 2nd December 1935.
