Obverse description Right-facing truncated bust of Benjamin Franklin in high relief, with long hair falling to his shoulders. The legend 'BENJAMIN · FRANKLIN' arcs along the upper periphery, the dates '1706' and '1790' appear below the bust flanked by small floral ornaments, and a laurel wreath frames the lower field. The engraver's signature 'J.R. SINNOCK' is visible at the lower right.

Reverse description Four classical allegorical female figures in draped robes stand in high relief around a central rectangular tablet inscribed 'BENJAMIN FRANKLIN'; one figure crowns the tablet with a laurel branch while holding a sheaf of wheat, the others flank the composition bearing attributes. The legend 'PHILOSOPHY · LITERATURE · SCIENCE · PATRIOTISM ·' arcs along the upper periphery. The engraver's initials 'JRS' and the date '1932' along with a mint mark device appear in the lower exergue.
