Obverse description A three-masted warship under full sail in relief within a recessed circular field, depicted sailing on stylized waves. The ship is identified in the exergue as HMS Victory at the Battle of Trafalgar. A circular legend surrounds the field, incorporating two famous quotations attributed to Admiral Nelson, with a suspension hole pierced at the top.
