Obverse description A Roman triumphal quadriga drawn by four horses in high relief occupies the central field, laden with military trophies including armour, shields, and standards, with a warrior seated amid the spoils. A winged figure of Victory flies overhead in the upper field. The legend and date appear in the exergue, with the engravers' signatures BARRE F. and MODIED visible on the left and right borders respectively.

Reverse description A detailed cityscape view of Lisbon dominates the field, featuring a prominent domed neoclassical building — identifiable as the Basilica da Estrela or a similar landmark — flanked by colonnaded facades and an arched waterfront structure. Sailing warships with full rigging are depicted on the River Tagus to the left. The engraver's signature MILLS F. appears at the right border, and the legend is inscribed in three lines in the lower exergue.
