Obverse description Conjoined busts of Admiral Graf von Spee (left) and Kapitän Hans Langsdorff (right) in high relief, both facing slightly inward. Iron Cross devices flank the busts in the lower field, with the dates 1914 and 1939 below each respectively. The legend arcs along the upper border, and a maker's signature is visible at the base of the design.
