Obverse description The Bär/Baer family coat of arms in high relief, featuring a shield bearing a rampant bear, surmounted by a helmet with elaborate mantling and a bear crest. The family name legends BÄR and BAER appear in the upper field to either side of the crest. The fineness mark 1000 appears in the lower exergue.
