Obverse description Three standing figures in high relief: at left a grenadier soldier with pack and helmet, at center the allegorical figure of Italia wearing a mural crown and bearing the Savoy shield on her chest, and at right a sailor in uniform; Italia joins the hands of the two figures in a gesture of fraternal union. The legend PRO PATRIA ET REGE appears in the lower exergue, and the maker's initials are visible in the lower right field.
