Obverse description Right-facing bust of Empress Anna Ioannovna wearing a crown, ermine-lined mantle decorated with imperial eagles, and a cuirassed bodice. The legend in Cyrillic runs around the circumference. In the exergue, two inscribed lines record her date of birth (28 January 1693) and date of accession to the throne (19 January 1730); engraver's initials appear below the bust truncation.
