Obverse description A martial figure, representing Virtus or Mars, strides dynamically to the right bearing a sword and staff, trampling a fallen enemy banner beneath his feet amid the ruins of a fortification. The legend arcs around the upper field in Latin. A secondary inscription in the lower exergue area names De Fleury and references the American Republic.
