| Obverse description | The obverse is divided into two halves: the right half depicts the relief figure of the Alyosha monument (a Soviet soldier standing on a pedestal) framed by an olive branch, set against a dark field; the left half features a coloured design with the gilt numeral '65' above a depiction of the Soviet 'For Bravery' medal inscribed 'ЗА ОТВАГУ / СССР', set against a blue and white background with stylised fireworks bursts.
