Obverse description Right-facing draped bust of Johann Michael Palmié in high relief, occupying most of the field. The name JOHANN MICHAEL PALMIÉ appears along the upper rim, and the birth inscription curves along the lower rim. The engraver's signature C. PFEUFFER FEC. is inscribed beneath the truncation.

Reverse description A veiled female allegorical figure seated on a throne at centre, flanked by three standing female figures in classical dress; the central throne bears a tablet inscribed with a Greek text. A multi-line commemorative inscription appears in the exergue, and the circular legend runs along the rim. The director's signature B. LOOS DIR. is engraved at the bottom of the field.
