| Obverse description | The central field depicts the Reiterdenkmal (Rider Monument) of Windhoek in high relief, showing a German colonial soldier mounted on horseback atop a rocky stone pedestal, with the horse rearing slightly and the rider holding a rifle upright. The dates 1912 and 1987 flank the monument in the mid-field, with the legend DEUTSCH - SÜDWESTAFRIKA arcing across the upper border and NAMIBIA across the lower border, all within a beaded inner circle flanked by laurel sprays and asterisks. The inscription 75 JAHRE and REITERDENKMAL appear in smaller lettering to the lower left and lower right of the monument respectively. |
