Reverse description The reverse displays a large stylized circle in relief representing the rising sun of Japan, occupying the upper portion of the field. Below it, the five interlocked Olympic rings are rendered in relief at center, flanked by the legend TOKYO to the left and 1964 to the right. A Japanese inscription appears below the rings, followed by the mint name and a hallmark cartouche indicating the 750 gold fineness.
