| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Henrik Wergeland in relief occupies the upper right of the field, flanked by a laurel branch. To the left, a procession of figures carrying flags is depicted in low relief. The dates 1814-1902 appear in the upper field, with a legend in the lower right. The engraver's name Throndsen is inscribed in the lower field. |
