Obverse description Two allegorical female figures flank a central shield bearing the inscription of Norway's Constitution and the date 17DE MAI 1814, with rays of light emanating above. Below the shield, the crowned Norwegian lion rampant is depicted within a wreath, and the engraver's initials I.T. appear in the lower exergue. A circular legend runs along the border of the field.
