| Obverse description | The obverse features a central horizontal cartouche bearing the legend MAI in raised relief, flanked by small leaf ornaments. Above and below the cartouche, symmetrical foliate and scroll decorations fill a circular inner frame, with the numeral 17 at the top of the field and the date 1885 at the bottom. A plain raised rim borders the design, and an integral suspension loop is mounted at the top. |
