Reverse description The dates '1820' and '1970' appear in large raised numerals at the top and bottom of the field respectively, each separated from the central legend by a row of botanical emblems in relief. The upper row features a rose (England), protea, thistle (Scotland), and strelitzia; the lower row features a shamrock (Ireland), aloe, two leeks (Wales), and two arum lilies. The central field bears a two-line inscription, with the designer's initials 'T.S.' below the lower floral row.
