Obverse description Central medallion in high relief featuring conjoined busts of Admiral Manuel Blanco Encalada and Lord Thomas Cochrane in left profile, inscribed BLANCO and COCHRANE on either side, with dates 1810 and 1910 in the exergue. Above the medallion, a winged figure of Fame in flight with a trumpet and laurel, accompanied by a seated allegorical figure of History recording events. The sculptor's signature GWO CORDOVA S.C. appears below the busts.
