Obverse description Seated allegorical figure of the city goddess, crowned and draped, holding a sceptre and resting her arm on a shield bearing the Hamburg coat of arms (white castle on red), set against a large oak tree with birds in flight. A chain of coins or tokens is scattered at her feet. The engraver's signature LOOS appears in the lower field, with a three-line German legend inscribed along the lower border.

Reverse description Detailed panoramic view of the Hamburg waterfront with ships and boats on the river in the foreground and the city skyline with church spires in the background. Above the cityscape, a winged genius seated on clouds holds a laurel branch. A two-line arched legend appears at the top of the field, and a four-line inscription in the exergue reads HAMBURGS TAUSENDJÄHRIGE JUBELFEIER 1803.
