| Reverse description | The silver-toned reverse depicts five gilt roundels representing the first five Deutsche Mark commemorative coins, each showing a portrait bust with identifying legends: Johann Gottlieb Fichte (1762–1814), Friedrich von Schiller (9.V.1955), Germanisches Museum Nürnberg (1852–1952), Ludwig Wilhelm Markgraf von Baden (1655–1707), and Joseph Freiherr von Eichendorff (1788–1857). Above the coin grouping is a gilt relief of the Heddernheim fibula (a Germanic eagle brooch), and the legend arcs around the upper border. A small oak leaf motif appears at the bottom of the field. |
