Two oval medallions one above the other, joined by a knot. The upper shows a sinking cruiser. The lower medallion with a ship on her side. Two smaller medallions at the sides, on the left the `LION` shown steaming to the right. Above a flagstaff with an admiral`s flag and scroll. On the right `ARETHUSA` steaming to left with a flagstaff above with a Commodore`s broad pennant and inscription.
