Saltillo Coat of Arms and the images three coins that in 1812, 1813 and 1814 were minted by the merchants from San Juan: Juan Nepomuceno Sánchez, Torivio de Alcalá and José Antonio Pereira, who asked permission from the municipal authority and in turn government of the province to coin the coins due to the shortage of fractional currency because of the war of independence.
