Bust of Joan of Arc turned to the left, heroine of French history, war leader and saint of the Catholic Church. She was later nicknamed the Maid of Orleans. Above right, coat of arms attributed to Joan of Arc: Azure to a silver sword hilted in gold and set in a royal crown of the same, between two fleurs-de-lis also in gold.
