Obverse description Relief depiction of the Meissen cathedral with its two Gothic spires dominating the upper field, overlaid with a view of the town hall facade in the centre. In the lower portion, the city coat of arms showing a lion rampant within a shield, flanked by laurel branches, with the city name MEISSEN inscribed to the left. The crossed swords mark of the Meissen porcelain manufactory appears in the upper right field.
