The legend arcs around the upper portion of the coin, with the engraver's signature C. TROTIN visible in small letters at the lower right of the bust.

Reverse description The reverse features a richly detailed allegorical composition centered on a cartouche bearing the award recipient's name, flanked by symbols of the arts and crafts including a palette, tools, and a torch. Above the cartouche, a fleuree cross rises between foliate branches, with a ribbon scroll reading PATRONAGE ST PIERRE. Below, a winged cherub figure supports two ribbon banners inscribed EXPOSITION DE L'INDUSTRIE, with the date 1893 on a further ribbon at the base.
