Obverse description The field depicts a classical architectural monument or stele in relief, bearing a coat of arms at the top and a multi-line inscribed tablet listing twelve citizens of Le Locle with their birth years, headed by Lieutenant J.J. Huguenin as director. A laurel branch appears to the left and a palm branch to the right, crossing at the base of the monument. The circular legend reads around the rim.
