Additional information

Hungary maintained a separate mint administration under the Habsburgs, and Maria Theresia's Hungarian coinage was struck to distinct specifications from her Austrian issues — a concession to Hungarian constitutional insistence on sovereign minting rights that the Empress navigated carefully throughout her reign. The 1760 date falls mid-reign, well after the War of Austrian Succession had forced her to cede Silesia to Frederick II, a loss she never accepted as permanent.
