Obverse description Crudely struck hammered copper flan bearing the Arabic royal titulature of Sultan Suleiman I arranged in two lines within the field. The inscription, reading 'Sultan / Suleiman' in Arabic script, is set within a plain linear border enclosed by a beaded outer rim. The lettering is bold and characteristic of early sixteenth-century Ottoman provincial die-cutting, with irregular module and slightly uneven strike typical of Damascus mint production.

Reverse description Reverse displays a three-line Arabic inscription within a plain inner circle and beaded outer border, reading 'Azza nasruhu / Darb Dimashq / 926', meaning 'May his victory be glorious / Struck in Damascus / AH 926'. The mint name and Hijri date are clearly rendered in the lower two lines, with the pious invocation occupying the upper field. The strike is characteristic of hammered Ottoman provincial coinage, with slight weakness at the periphery consistent with irregular flan preparation.
