Obverse description Hammered copper flan of irregular shape bearing a two-line Arabic legend in the field reading 'Murad bin Selim Khan' on the upper register and 'Azza Nasruhu' (May his victory be glorious) on the lower register. The script is rendered in a typical Ottoman tughra-influenced hand, with the letters exhibiting the characteristic compressed and interlocking style of late sixteenth-century Anatolian mint production. The flan surface is rough and uneven, consistent with hand-struck copper coinage of the period. No border or decorative framing elements are present.
