| Obverse description | Irregular flan typical of early Ottoman hammered coinage, bearing the Arabic legend محمد بن بايزيد (Mehmed son of Bayezid) disposed across the field in characteristic Kufic-influenced script. The die-struck inscription is the sole decorative element, rendered with bold strokes against a flat, unadorned field. The flan edges are uneven and show typical casting irregularities consistent with early fifteenth-century Ottoman bronze production. No figurative imagery is present, in accordance with Islamic numismatic convention. |
