Obverse description Central inner circle containing the name 'Bayazid' in Arabic script, surrounded by a circular legend reading 'duriba Kostantaniye' (struck in Constantinople), all executed in relief on a flat copper field typical of hammered Ottoman coinage. The inscriptions are rendered in cursive Arabic calligraphy. The overall design is characteristic of the simple epigraphic style employed for Ottoman copper mangir coinage of this period.
