Obverse description Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust of Emperor Theodosius I facing right, rendered in the late Roman imperial style characteristic of the Theodosian period. The emperor wears a pearl diadem and military paludamentum. The circumferential legend DN THEODOSIVS P F AVG is distributed around the bust, reading from lower left to upper right. The flan is irregular and the surfaces show characteristic late antique patination with green encrustation.

Reverse description The emperor stands facing left in full military attire, helmeted and cuirassed, holding a labarum (Chi-Rho standard) in his right hand and a Victory on globe in his left hand. The figure is rendered in the schematic late antique style typical of Theodosian Antioch coinage. The circumferential legend GLORIA ROMANORVM surrounds the central type, with the mint mark ANTE or ANTB or ANTΓ or ANTΔ inscribed in the exergue, identifying the Antioch mint and its respective officina.
