| Obverse description | Detailed high-relief depiction of the Holy Door (Puerta Santa) of the Cathedral of Santiago de Compostela, featuring the ornate Baroque doorway flanked by sculpted figures and surmounted by a standing saint in the central niche. An inlaid piece of actual stone from the Holy Door is set into the centre of the doorway opening. The legend arcs along the upper field, and the fineness mark '999' appears in the lower exergue. |
