Reverse description Central field bears a bold cross of Christ (Cruz de Cristo) with flared terminals, dividing the field into four quadrants each containing a pellet or annulet, consistent with the Gomes PR 24.01 variety showing dots at the corners of the cross. A beaded inner border surrounds the central device, with the circular Latin legend distributed around the outer periphery separated by pellets. The overall style is characteristic of Portuguese hammered silver coinage of the late seventeenth century.
