| Obverse description | Youthful head of Herakles facing right, enveloped in the scalp of the Nemean lion, with the beast's gaping jaws framing the hero's brow and the mane rendered in bold, stylized relief. The facial features display the archaic-to-classical transitional style characteristic of Sicilian mint work of the early fourth century BC. A Greek legend curves around the periphery of the flan, partially visible due to the irregular striking. The flan edges show the characteristic uneven spread of hammered coinage of the period. |

| Reverse description | A charging bull, head lowered in a butting posture, advances vigorously to the right in a dynamic, naturalistic rendering typical of Sicilian Greek coinage of the early fourth century BC. The animal is depicted with muscular body and prominent dewlap, its forelegs thrust forward and hind legs gathered beneath, conveying powerful forward momentum. A ground line runs beneath the bull, separating the main field from a lower exergual area. In the upper field above the bull's back, the monogram of ΑΚ is clearly visible as a control mark. The ethnic legend ΗΡΑΚΛΕΙΩΤΑΝ is inscribed in the field to the upper right of the bull. |
