Obverse description Bearded male head facing left, wearing a crested Corinthian-style helmet with raised cheek guards and a prominent neck guard, depicted in bold archaic relief within a dotted border. The facial features are rendered with expressive plasticity characteristic of early Sicilian coinage, with the beard indicated by incised striations. The helmet crest rises prominently above the crown, with fine engraved detail along its length.
