| Obverse description | Circular cast bronze coin with a central round hole. Two archaic Chinese characters reading '离石' (Lishi), denoting the mint town of Lishi in the State of Zhao, appear in relief on the right side of the field in early Warring States script. The characters are rendered in a bold, slightly irregular style typical of cast Warring States round coins, with the surrounding field showing natural casting texture and heavy patination consistent with the period. |
