Obverse description Frontal bust of a bishop in high relief, wearing a mitre and episcopal vestments, with a crozier visible to the left side of the figure. The die-struck image is characteristic of late 12th-century Bamberg episcopal coinage, with crude but expressive rendering typical of the Dünnpfennig hammered technique. The flan is irregular and thin, with the design occupying the central field. No legible legend is present, the type relying on iconographic identification alone.
