Obverse description A dolphin facing left occupies the central field, surmounted by a fleur-de-lis. A small annulet appears below the dolphin's head. The design is executed in the Gothic hammered style typical of late medieval French coinage. The surrounding circular legend is rendered in uncial Latin characters.
