| Obverse description | Armored bust of Henri de la Tour d'Auvergne, Viscount of Turenne and Duke of Bouillon, facing right, wearing a ruffled collar and plate armor with a sash. The portrait is rendered in a late Renaissance style typical of early 17th-century French feudal coinage. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy, reading HENR.DE.LA.TOVR.D.BVLLIONII, identifying the issuer as Henri of La Tour, Duke of Bouillon. The entire design is contained within an inner beaded border. |
