| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned initial 'F' of Francis II, flanked symmetrically by three fleurs-de-lis — one to the left, one to the right, and one below — arranged in a cruciform pattern around the monogram. The crown surmounting the letter is rendered in a Gothic style typical of late 16th-century French feudal coinage. The entire design is contained within a circular legend border. The hammered fabric results in a somewhat irregular flan with slight weakness at the periphery. |

| Reverse description | Central field features the eight-pointed cross of the Order of the Holy Spirit, rendered with fleurs-de-lis at each arm tip, characteristic of the decoration instituted by Henry III of France in 1578. The cross occupies most of the reverse field and is boldly struck relative to the coin's small module. A circular legend runs along the periphery, partially visible on this hammered flan. The overall style reflects the heraldic conventions of late 16th-century French feudal coinage. |
