Reverse description Floriated cross pattée with equal arms extending to the border, the center occupied by a hollow quadrilobe or cusped quatre-foil depression, with trefoil or fleur-de-lis ornaments filling the angles between the arms. The cross design is set within a double beaded circular border, with the Latin legend distributed around the outer ring. The overall composition is emblematic of the devotional formulaic reverses common to Burgundian billon coinage of this period.
